What is the driver schedule at MJ Tank Lines?

We offer a 4 on, 3 off schedule (day and night shifts available). The 4 days worked will run consecutively. Potential additional days of work available, based on customer demand.

What type of trucks do you drive?

There is nothing like the classics. Our entire fleet consists of Peterbilt 389’s (10 and 13 speed transmissions only) in Truck and Trailer and Semi.

Do you work weekends?

Due to current customer demand, current driver’s schedule will include work during the weekends.

What is the minimum driver age requirement?

We require our commerical drivers to be at least 23 years old.

What class of Driver License and endorsements are required?

We require drivers to possess and maintain a valid Class A Driver’s License in state of residence with Tanker and Hazardous Materials (X) endorsements.

What is the minimum professional driving experience required?

We require a minimum of 24 months recent and verifiable commercial driving experience.

How many points and accidents are allowed on D.M.V. Record?

Drivers must have a clean D.M.V. report, 0 points in the past 12 months, max 1.5 points in the last 3 years. Must not have had more than 1 at-fault accident or preventable accident in the past 3 years.

Do I have to pass a road test to be hired?

Yes, drivers must be able to pass our road test with vehicle chosen by MJ Tank Lines.

Is a background check and drug/alcohol test required?

Yes, drivers must be able to pass pre-employment physical, background screening, and drug/alcohol test.

Do I need to have loading privileges at all Southern California Terminals?

Although preferred not required, drivers must be able to acquire and maintain loading privileges at all Southern California terminals.

Do I need to have a TWIC (Transportation Worker’s Identification Credential) card?

Although preferred not required, drivers do not need to have a valid TWIC card to be considered for employment.

How often is payroll processed?

We pay on a bi-weekly pay schedule. A bi-weekly payroll has 26 pay dates per year, employees are paid every other Friday. On each pay date the driver will be paid for two work weeks. A work week consists of the hours worked between 12:01am Monday to 11:59pm Sunday.
